Date published: October 2016
The topic of innovation is of growing importance, given the rapid evolution of technology and the progressive shifts in customer behaviors and expectations. Cooperatives have, yet again, a key role to play using their innovation capacities. This study aims to document and to enlighten the current issues of innovation in cooperatives.
The study explores the innovation priorities and innovative practices in cooperatives of all sectors and geographies, followed by a focus on financial and mutual cooperatives in Canada, Europe, and Latin America. The research is based mainly on a qualitative methodology: an online survey largely broadcasted to cooperatives with a special focus on financial cooperative institutions.
