Project Origin
The HEC Montreal library has one of the best collections in the world of cooperatives, including a wide variety of documents and long established series of annual reports and magazines. Moreover, aware that access to knowledge is now largely via digital, for a number of years the Institute has been developing a Cooperatives Gateway (previously named International Observatory on Financial Services Cooperatives). Our mission is to contribute to the development of the scientific analysis of cooperatives and their environment, by providing academic and institutional researchers with access to existing knowledge and relevant data. Providing navigation in three languages, this Cooperatives Gateway includes documents on cooperatives amassed from 19 different languages.
New partnership
The library and the Institute have joined forces over the past two years and chosen to develop a partnership with a world-class company, Bibliomondo, by embedding InMedia technology that will offer search and advanced analysis capabilities, as well as interoperability between systems internationally.
A highlight event to launch collaboration on an international scale
The International Summit of Cooperatives, scheduled for October 2016 in Quebec City, will be the occasion to launch the new Cooperatives Gateway and initiate an international collaborative network for scanning and access to knowledge on cooperatives and mutuals.
Thank you for your interest by answering the short survey.
