As part of the executive training, the Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins International Institute for Cooperatives welcomed a group of 25 Brazilian managers from Sicredi Vale do Taquari RS.
Located in Brazil, Sicredi Vale do Taquari RS is a credit union with over 49,000 members. It was founded on 1st March 1906 in Lajeado Municipality, making it the second oldest credit union in the country, after that of Nova Petrópolis Municipality established in 1902. Present in 11 municipalities, Sicredi Vale do Taquari RS provides responsible financial solutions across 15 centers that help local value, contributing to the quality of life of its members and the community.
Since 1993, Sicredi Vale do Taquari RS has been integrated into Sicredi, one of Brazil’s most important cooperative credit systems, composed of 95 cooperatives in 11 states throughout the country.
