This spring, IICADD welcomes Elisangela Domingues Vaz, a researcher in sustainability indicators (economic, social, environmental and governance), cooperativism and data-driven decision-making. Elisangela is working towards a PhD in Agribusiness and Development at UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista – Brazil), holds a Master’s degree in Agribusiness from UFGD (Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados – Brazil), a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and specializations in Data Science and Analysis from USP/ESALQ and in Data Analysis from FIAP. She has professional experience in finance and administration in medium and large companies in various segments, such as agri-food, retail, logistics and transportation. She has taught at the Paula Souza Center – ETEC, in the fields of business models, financial and statistical calculations, economic scenario studies and total quality management.

Her doctoral research focuses on the proposal of a fuzzy intelligence model of sustainability indicators that integrates economic, social, environmental and governance aspects and contributes to the management of Brazilian cooperatives. As a visiting researcher at HEC Montréal, her research focuses on analyzing and comparing the sustainability of Brazilian and Canadian cooperatives (agricultural and credit) by assessing their sustainability reports, identifying similarities, differences and areas for improvement in both countries.
