The Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins International Institute for Cooperatives is organizing an exploratory workshop on cooperatives on March 18 at HEC Montréal, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (EST). This workshop invites all graduate students who want to learn more about cooperatives, as well as students who are carrying out a research project on the subject.
Various support resources offered by the Institute and HEC Montréal will be presented. There will also be opportunities for discussions about creating an environment conducive to exchange, peer learning, and the exploration of ideas. Sonja Novkovic, Professor of Economics and Academic Director of the International Center for Cooperative Management at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, will discuss her research work on cooperatives and the social and solidarity economy. Following the workshop, the Institute will launch a call for applications for an encouragement award, which supports student research on cooperatives and mutuals. Come join us!
