Author(s): Joëlle Basque, Ann Langley | August 2018 - This article explores analysis of archival data from the internal magazine La Revue Desjardins from its first publication in 1935 to 2015 by examining the ways in which the figure of the founder (deceased in 1920) was used during the time in the life of the organization to reformulate, maintain, strengthen or revise organizational identity, and to legitimize or constrain organizational renewal.
