Ann Langley conference at Montpellier Management

On April 19, Ann Langley, professor of management at HEC Montréal and holder of the “Chair in Strategic Management in a Pluralistic Context”, will give a lecture at Montpellier Management on the theme of qualitative research and process approaches. The conference is organized by Thuy Seran, affiliated researcher at the Institute.

Her research focuses on strategic change, leadership, identity and the use of management tools in complex organizations with a focus on process and qualitative research approaches. Her work has been published in such journals as the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Administrative Science Quarterly, Human Relations, the Journal of Management Studies, the Organization Science, the Organization and the Strategic Organization.

Ms. Langley is also a member of GEPS, the Strategy as Practice Study Group, whic includes professors from HEC Montréal’s management department, and whose work is part of an international research movement formed around the study of strategy activities and training practices.
