From May 2, the Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins International Institute for Cooperatives hosted Fannie Langlois, as part of an internship in collaboration with the HEC Montréal library.
A Master’s student in Information Sciences at the School of Library and Information Science (EBSI) of the University of Montreal, Fannie assisted in developing the Cooperatives Gateway (previously named International Observatory on Financial Services Cooperatives). The Gateway will provide access to existing knowledge and relevant data on cooperatives and their environment, in order to promote the development of scientific analysis.
In this context, Fannie analyzed and recorded content creators, databases, magazines and websites dealing with cooperatives. She also made an annotated bibliography of relevant publications on the subject matter. Finally, she set up a standby tool that will help the Gateway’s development.
