On Monday, February 11, 2019, the Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins International Institute for Cooperatives, along with Ms. Naomi Ananou, Lecturer at HEC Montréal, organized the conference: “One Objective: Profit and Social Impact – New Business Models.

The technology revolution has changed and keeps changing the world. There is no industry that is excluded from this 4th digital revolution: retail, finance, automotive, energy, education and agriculture. New products emerge, such as electric cars, free communication tools and certified organic products.

In parallel to the reinvention of business models, due to the exponential pace of technological innovation, the framing of a “purpose” revolution for businesses is also being redrawn and where the profit and the social impact should be conciliated.

How then can we conciliate profit with a social mission that is more coherent with new generations and their values, thanks notably to technological tools?

Several speakers have been invited to share their expertise on these new business models.
